Women’s Winter Circle - Wednesday Workshops:

"The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause" film screening

Do you have questions about Menopause? Are you looking to be prepared for and supported in your journey to and through menopause?? If so, this workshop is for you! Menopause is rarely discussed openly, yet it affects every woman differently. Experience The M Factor, the acclaimed PBS documentary (56 mins) that explores the science, stories, and shifting conversations around menopause. Following the screening, we will have an engaging discussion and Q&A session — to help offer insights, answer any questions, and share empowering strategies to help navigate this pivotal life stage with confidence. Come for an evening of connection, shared experiences, and inspiration as we learn, talk, and normalize the menopause journey together.

This event is the third of four in a series of women's workshop events throughout the winter months. Please join us for the other workshop we're planning:

Wednesday, March 11, 6:30pm: A conversation with the League of Women Voters of Cape Cod.

You’re welcome to attend all sessions or just the ones that resonate with you. Our hope is to create a warm, caring space for group connection and support.

Join Kristen Darcy, author and coach for an evening of connection and gentle support for women navigating life's changes. Darcy will facilitate a discussion following the viewing of the film.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Sandwich Public Library.

ABOUT THE EVENT: 55 million women in the United States are currently experiencing menopause. The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause explores the hidden impact of menopause on women's lives. With evidence-based information, the film empowers women to make informed health decisions and aims to remove the stigma surrounding menopause and aging.

“The [M] Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause,” a feature-length documentary film, centers on the lived experiences of women across the U.S. Cameras follow women into their doctors’ offices, at work, and in their homes to expose the challenges they face—including racial biases, gender-ignorant care, inequitable structures and systems, and barriers due to the lack of basic healthcare research. The women featured here open up about their experiences and share their stories of enduring debilitating symptoms while being ignored, ridiculed and/or shamed—and left untreated.
