Join your SPL staff for a matinee showing of 1949's "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court."  The film, starring Bing Crosby, tells the tale of a time-traveling blacksmith, and features a solar eclipse that happens at just the right time. This musical version of Mark Twain's story is sure to delight! 

Registration is required for this event and space is limited.  All attendees will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses to use on the April 8. 2024 solar eclipse!

Light refreshments will be provided by The Friends of the Sandwich Public Library.  Please help us cut down on plastic waste by bringing your own water bottle. 

The Great North American Eclipse is Monday April 8, 2024 and the Cape will experience 90% totality.  Sandwich Public Library has partnered with SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries) to bring our patrons fun and informative programs about this very special event.  Looking to get a pair of eclipse viewing glasses?  Register for any of our eclipse events and you'll get a pair to take home!
