Come join bestselling author Paul Clerici as he shares stories about the iconic Boston Marathon and the historic Falmouth Road Race. He has written extensively on both races in the “Boston Marathon History by the Mile,” “Images of Modern America: The Boston Marathon,” newly released “Boston Marathon Traditions and Lore,” and “A History of the Falmouth Road Race” books.

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: Learn about the origins of both races, their respective histories both locally and globally, hear amusing anecdotes and fun tales, and behind-the-scene stories about well known participants such as Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Johnny Kelley, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Bobbi Gibb, Catherine Ndereba, wheelchair athletes Bob Hall, Marcel Hug, Jean Driscoll, Tatyana McFadden, and more. Clerici's storytelling is supplemented with a multimedia presentation of images from his books, which include some from rare collections and some never seen before! Books will be available to purchase and can be signed by the author during the event.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Paul Clerici is avid runner who competes in nearly every running distance from the mile to the marathon - including two triathlons - and has won numerous Clydesdale and age-group category runner awards. He is also a bestselling author, journalist, writer, historian,  photographer, and award-winning former newspaper editor and sports editor.
