Join us for a fun, informative night exploring the world of cartography with special guest Maps of Antiquity.
Each participant will receive a complimentary 21" x 17" black-and-white copy of a historic map from the Sandwich Town Archives. Hand-drawn by art teacher Jane "Jennie" Bradford Jones (1883-1971) in 1939 during a restoration of the 1834 Town Hall, the map illustrates Sandwich Village as it appeared between 1823 and 1888, the era the Boston and Sandwich Glass Factory operated in Jarvesville. Colored pencils will be provided.
Light refreshments will be served.

For over 30 years, Maps of Antiquity has served as Cape Cod’s premier destination for cartophiles. Based in Chatham, they specialize in an exquisite range of antique maps, nautical charts, rare prints, and historical books, with a deep-rooted expertise in the American Northeast.

Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives (FOSTA) is a dedicated, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting and promoting the Archives' collections and the rich, diverse history of the town of Sandwich. FOSTA plays a vital role in supporting the Sandwich Town Archives by providing funding and resources for its continued operation. This support helps ensure the preservation of historic documents, books, and photographs, while also promoting public access for research and educational purposes.
