Join us in celebrating 350 years of the Hoxie House and kicking off this monumental season! The Hoxie House Celebration Committee invites you to a special evening honoring 350 years of history for the Hoxie House. Immerse yourself in the rich past of this historic landmark through a showcase of student artwork, plein air paintings, historical artifacts, and an engaging presentation by guest speaker Christie Lowrance.

The three Sandwich Public Schools will present a collection of Hoxie House inspired artwork created by students. The Sandwich Arts Alliance will feature original stunning plein air paintings, available for purchase, capturing the essence of this cherished site. Visitors will also have the rare opportunity to view remarkable artifacts from the Hoxie House. Lastly take this opportunity to speak with our Hoxie House museum docents who will be available for questions.

We are thrilled to welcome to Christie Lowrance, a distinguished writer specializing in Cape Cod history, business, and culture. She is the author of Nature’s Ambassador: The Legacy of Thornton W. Burgess and The Last Heath Hen: An extinction Story and has taught writing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Cape Cod Community College.
