Introduction to Snapshot Stories with Nicole Donovan

In this stepping-stone class we will explore reflective writing and how to use this supportive practice as a tool in your life. 

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: During this workshop, we will explore the art of “time travel” by using old personal photographs as our muse. In 2019, Nicole Donovan stumbled across a file of old family photographs taken by her father, and inspiration struck! She began writing potent and reflective entries in her journal as she connected with the images and her ancestry. As a result, she wrote a series of ten essays, which she published entitled: Saturday Snapshot Stories. As she deepened into the art of reflective writing practices, it brought her unexpected gifts of connection and a shift in her perspective.

**PLEASE NOTE: If this class if full, we are offering a second workshop on Thursday, October 23 from 6:00-8:00pm. You can choose either date/times.**

What to Expect:  - 90-minute class - Guided centering practices - Unearthing the stories behind the photos - Writing tools and prompts to bolster your writing practice - 

What to Bring to class: - 5-7 Printed photographs of you, family and/or vintage photos of your ancestors - Bring a journal or composition notebook - Wear comfortable clothing - A beginner’s mind
