Mindful Journaling/Sketching

Mindful Journaling/Sketching is a 4-week experience that combines the reflective practices of meditation and journaling or sketching.
Come settle into a quiet space with your notebook and embark on a journey of self-discovery using a 3-step format. During each class, you’ll be guided in a brief meditation, followed by writing or sketching in response to a prompt, ending with an opportunity to share and discuss (sharing is always voluntary). Studies show that a regular mindfulness practice can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety and stress, and improve sleep. Reflective practices like journaling and sketching can help one make sense of what might emerge from mindful meditation.
This FREE class will be taught by Pete Cormier, founder of The Awareness Project, a nonprofit formed to promote mindfulness through art. Learn more at www.theawareness.org .
