ABOUT THE EVENT: Join local cookbook authors Chris Taylor and Paul Arguin for a lively discussion about everyone's favorite handheld treat, cookies! As scientists, they experiment with fun flavors and techniques to create recipes that improve upon traditional treats. Learn how to jazz up your classic cookie recipes as well as incorporate new favorites into your current cookie menu.
As an added treat, Chris and Paul will share some of these fabulous modern cookies to taste, and answer your questions about how to bring an added sparkle to your holiday baking. ** SPACE IS LIMITED ** For an accurate head-count for the cookie samples, registration is required no later than Tuesday, December 10th.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Chris Taylor and Paul Arguin are authors, avid pie makers, baking enthusiasts, and cookie makers. Since 2011, they have won more than 600 awards for their baking, including Best of Show at the American Pie Council's National Pie Championship. Their first cookbook, The New Pie, was published in 2019 and features recipes with fun and novel flavors and techniques for the classic American dessert. It was a finalist for both the Baking and Single Subject cookbook of the year by the International Association of Culinary Professionals and selected by NPR and Food52 as one of the best cookbooks of the year. Their second cookbook, Fabulous Modern Cookies, was published in 2022 and was again selected by NPR as one of the “books they love.” They joined our Sandwich community in January 2023.
