Leading experts will guide you through the history, evolution, and craft of New England architecture and modern historic preservation, to deepen your appreciation for architectural design and provide practical tips for homeowners and history lovers.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: A spirited presentation on the history of architectural style and historic preservation on Cape Cod and around New England.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Vijay Joyce earned his degree from the Boston Architectural College, specializing in Historic Preservation and Architectural History. He has since been deeply engaged in preservation efforts across New England, with a particular focus on Salem, Massachusetts. There, he serves as Executive Director of the Pickering House non-profit and steward of America’s oldest home. His passion for sharing the stories of historic houses has also led to a recurring role on HGTV’s Farmhouse Fixer.
CURIOSITY CLASSROOM: The Sandwich Public Library is offering personal growth opportunities for our adult patrons, through diverse workshops that will foster self-improvement, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
