Sandwich Public Library Writing Workshop Series
Calling all aspiring and accomplished writers! Join us for our very special Writer Workshops featuring local authors!
We've gathered 7 authors to facilitate more than 15 writing workshops over an 8 week period thanks to a generous gift donation from the Boucher Family Charitable Gift Fund. The workshops will be held during February and March, 2025.
In this workshop we welcome local author Roger A. Smith of the Cape Cod Writers Center
We have coordinated a wide variety of writing workshops covering different writing genres including: plays/screenwriting, historical fiction, memoir, domestic thriller, children's books, intuitive writing, and poetry, just to name a few. Please see the Library Event Calendar for a full list of the writing workshops being offered. Sign up for a few workshops, or ALL. We hope to see you there!
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Let's get your Historical Novel written! Are you thinking about finally starting that historical novel that's been lurking in the back of your brain? Maybe your concept is a fictionalized version of an oft-told family tale, or a town you used to live in, or the house across the street that was owned by a clipper ship captain! Smith will get you going with first steps and a good shot of confidence. Plan on a couple of writing exercises, so bring a pen and paper or your laptop.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Roger A. Smith is the author of the historical novel series Rian Krieger's Journey.
This event is made possible by a generous donation from the Boucher Family Charitable Gift Fund.
Registration for this event opens Wednesday, January 15 at 9:00 AM.
