Sandwich Public Library Writing Workshop Series
Calling all aspiring and accomplished writers! Join us for our very special Writer Workshops featuring local authors!
We've gathered 7 authors to facilitate more than 15 writing workshops over an 8 week period thanks to a generous gift donation from the Boucher Family Charitable Gift Fund. The workshops will be held during February and March, 2025. We have coordinated a wide variety of writing workshops covering different writing genres including: plays/screenwriting, historical fiction, memoir, domestic thriller, children's books, intuitive writing, and poetry, just to name a few. Please see the Library website HERE for a full list of the writing workshops being offered, or go to the library Event Calendar for information on each specific workshop. Sign up for a few workshops, or ALL. We hope to see you there!
In this workshop we welcome local author Roger A. Smith of the Cape Cod Writers Center
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Let's get your Historical Novel written! Are you thinking about finally starting that historical novel that's been lurking in the back of your brain? Maybe your concept is a fictionalized version of an oft-told family tale, or a town you used to live in, or the house across the street that was owned by a clipper ship captain! Smith will get you going with first steps and a good shot of confidence. All participants are asked to bring a notebook to write in, along with pencils, pens, or your laptop.
